The rehabilitation of the pelvis-perineal area also called pelvic floor, is a specialty of physiotherapy that tackles all the closing structures in the distal section of the abdominal cavity (muscles, ligaments, fascias), these are vital for the correct functioning of inner organs such as the bladder, vagina, uterus, and rectum, being the floor which holds this structures.
